I decided to travel throughout Europe from May 1996 to the end of September 1996. Soon after the conclusion of my trip in Europe I returned to the States and took classes as a listener at Ferris State University. The following spring I decided to take more language courses and work part-time at Ferris State University (January–May 1997).
