EMPLOYMENT

Currently working on in dependent projects ranging from
PlanetSim to website development, networking solutions
for small businesses, or consulting.
Employed by the Professional Staffing Group, 85
Devonshire St., Boston, MA. The work involved working as
a temp for various companies and a broad range of
assignments which took place from May to September 1999.
The companies which employed me were the following:
Fiduciary Trust employed me for a period of 2 months.
The work focused on investment research for the stock
market. The work consisted of researching certain
companies with tools such as Bloomberg, Merryl Lynch,
Standard and Poor's Reports among others. The
responsibilities included putting together a daily
report and have it copied and sent to all the executives
in the company. The address is the following: 175
Federal St., Boston, MA.
Salvation Army rendered me a position for the period of
one month to help process donations that were received,
regularly to receive calls at the reception and redirect
them, and also to give out information with regard to
many of their social programs.
Among other much shorter employment assignments were the
following companies: Parthenon Consulting, AON
Consulting, and The Bollard Group.
Worked
as a salesperson at Relax the Back, 1385 Beacon St.,
Brookline, MA, January to May, 1999.
Worked
as a Library Assistant at Abigail S. Timme Library,
Ferris State University, Winter semester 1997. Work
consisted of restoring the Historical Chamber by
reorganizing and cataloguing the books. Searching at the
Library of Congress for CCNs or ISBNs, inter-library
loans, placing orders for new books.
Worked
as a book processor at Abigail S. Timme Library, Ferris

binding, shelving, searching Library of Congress, and

Recent Travel from 1999 to 2006 has
been 3 trips to Germany, 15 trips to Mexico (vacation or
family).
December 1999 to Germany for the
period of one month.
December 1997 to end of March 1998: I made an extensive
tour of South America with my family. My father had his
Sabbatical leave and my mother and I joined him for his
research. We had the opportunity to live in three
different countries: Argentina, Uruguay, and Chile. Also
I had the chance to meet poets, writers, publishers, and
critics from all of South America.
During
my stay in Mexico (June–August 1997) I was enrolled in
an intensive program at the Alliance Française, San
Angel in Mexico City where the courses were based on
acquiring the "Diplome de Langue Française." At the same
time I attended courses to learn basic Nahuatl, the
Aztec tongue, and to have a better understanding of the
Nahuatl culture which is disappearing due to
globalization. This was held at the "Centro Cultural de
Las Artes" in San Angel, Mexico City.
Upon
graduation from Michigan State University I was overseas
in Dublin, Ireland having finished my last semester in
an overseas study program. I decided to travel
throughout Europe from May 1996 to the end of September
1996. Soon after the conclusion of my trip in Europe I
returned to the States and took classes as a listener at
Ferris State University. The following spring I decided
to take more language courses and work part-time at
Ferris State University (January–May 1997).
To
Italy as a foreign exchange student with American Field
Service during my senior year in High School, 1992–93.

VOLUNTEER SERVICE

Recently, one of the projects to reach out Orphans in
Nogales, Mexico and contributing supplies to help their
needs. However, this is an on-going project targeting
around 6 different institutions that need help either
for Orphans or displaced children.
Working
for UNICEF during the month of December 1998.
Mission
work in the Quiche region of Guatemala as a translator,
Spring 1997.
Helped
in a fundraising program for urgent relief for children
affected by war in former Yugoslavia. This was in Ancona,
Italy, 1993.
Worked
at Mother Theresa's center for the homeless/abandoned
and disadvantaged children in Toluca, Mexico, 1990–91. |
